ATTORNEYS

C. Lawrence Huddleston, JD
Founder / Manager

Larry Huddleston was admitted to the Bar in 1977, and has been an estate planning attorney for nearly 30 years. He was in the first class of Certified in Ohio as Specialists in Trust, Probate and Estate Planning. He has taught estate planning in almost half the states in America to attorneys, accountants, physicians, and many others in groups from 10 to 1,000. He participates in several professional organizations from trade associations to "think tanks."  He is rated "10.0 Superb" by AVVO.com and "AV Pre-eminent" by Lawyers.Com/Martindale-Hubbell.  He is enthusiastic about his work, and intends to keep at it for many years.

Larry (or "C L" to his close friends) has been strugglin to regain his single digit golf handicap at Scioto Country Club, is a passable fly fisherman, an active pilot ("Air Gramps" to his grandsons), is a now-retired ski racer, and sings bass in the Upper Arlington Lutheran Church choir.

He is a graduate of Portsmouth (Ohio) High School, Muskingum College and Capital University School of Law.  Prior to starting his estate planning career, he was a general practice attorney, litigator, financial regulator, expert witness in "banker misbehavior" cases, and a financial institutions merger and acquisitions consultant.  He lives in Upper Arlington with Debbie, his patient wife of 44 years.  They have two grown daughters and two grandsons.

Bryan B. Johnson, JD
Of-Counsel

Bryan's selection to serve as a Judicial Magistrate in the Franklin County Probate Court provided him a springboard to an extraordinary career in the field of probate estate administration and probate litigation, a career that has included selection as managing partner of a noted mid-sized law firm.  He has taught and spoken on probate law and litigation in many venues.

Jordan A. Brown, JD
Associate Attorney

Jeffrey R. Dundon, JD, LLM
USN, Retired

Jeff was a partner in the estate planning firm of Dundon & Huddleston, LLP, and ran the firm's Centerville office.  He retired in March, 2007 from the general practice of law to become the Director of Planned Giving for the University of Cincinnati.  Many of his client files were transferred to Huddleston Law Group, LPA.

Other Attorneys

We regularly co-counsel and collaborate with other "specialist" attorneys as needed, primarily when our clients need highly specialized counsel for personal injury, domestic relations and real estate issues, especially mineral rights.

Nationally, we have working relationships with attorney colleagues throughout the United States through attorney organizations and "think tanks" to which we belong, especially WealthCounsel and ePlanners Educational Alliance.  Should one of our client matters require the services of an attorney licensed to practice in another State (such as our snowbird clients in Florida, or family members of our clients wherever they may be living), we are able to co-counsel with, or refer cases to, out-of-state colleagues when circumstances warrant.

Client Support Team

Kristeen Nicholson, Administrative Assistant

Kristeen is an experienced executive assistant who has the unenviable job of trying to keep the attorneys on track and communications flowing.  She manages some document preparation and other paralegal duties.

Deborah N. Huddleston, Business Manager

Debbie, a bank officer before children intervened, handles the firm's bookkeeping, personnel and insurance matters.  She thinks we spend too much on almost everything, and after supervising our 2023 move to new offices after 25 years, probably wants to be replaced.
